ABOUT ME
I am Lauren Marshall, ‘Crazy Little Thing Called Love’ by Queen was number one when I was born. The song has pretty much become my anthem. LOL
I made a lot of changes in my life, some roads were bumpier than others. Challenges with my mental, environmental, and physical health reared their heads, I was scared. I felt stuck. I lost a sense of purpose. I lost a sense of hope. I didn’t know where to start. I didn't always have someone in my corner. Now, here WE are.
The Journey that Led Me to…YOU!
For over 20-years I have dedicated my life to serving others and digging deep to find solution-oriented ways to address personal, community-based, and systemic health challenges. My roles have included:
Ordained Buddhist priest
First female Clinical Buddhist Chaplain at a major trauma center (service lines included oncology and trauma)
Founder of a nonprofit dedicated to the wellness of musicians
Freelance writer and public speaker
Volunteer mentor to prisoners through the Prison Dharma Network (now Prison Mindfulness Institute)
Board member for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention
Community relations coordinator and health promotion specialist for major managed care organizations
I am the first person to graduate from college in my family and I continue to seek out the knowledge to make this world a better place. Truly, I have learned from and I have been humbled by some of the best educators!
Bloomsburg University, B.A. in Sociology
Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center, Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE)
Chatham University, M.P.W. in Technical Writing (Science and medical writing focus)
Notre Dame’s Mendoza School of Business, Certificate in Nonprofit Fund Development

And…Duke University’s Health and Well-being Coach Training!
